2010 Cactus Salon New York City Pro Am 16s

After some interesting upsets on Thursday there were none in Friday's Round of 16 at the Cactus Salon New York City Pro Am, a Tier 1 event on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT), as all the top 8 players won their matches. Furthermore only two matches were more than three games.

Top seed Kane Waselenchuk defeated Jose Rojas by the comfortable score line of 11-2, 11-3, 11-3, and second seed Jack Huczek also won in three straight over Nick Montalbano, 11-3, 11-8, 11-4.

Only Mitch Williams and Shane Vanderson dropped games to their opponents in the 16s. Williams needed four games to fend off Anthony Herrera, 11-9, 11-6, 11-13, 11-8, while Vanderson also required four games to get by Alejandro Landa, 11-6, 11-6, 11-13, 11-2.

Matches from the quarter finals through the finals are being streamed live over the web at the IRT Network.com. The first quarter final is Jack Huczek vs. Chris Crowther at 5:30 PM Eastern time Friday.
