Paola Longoria completed an undefeated season on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) Sunday, as she won the Teamroot.com Classic - the last event of the 2018-19 LPRT season - in Overland Park, Kansas. Longoria defeated Samantha Salas, 10-12, 11-5, 11-8, 11-7, in the final. The win was Longoria’s 9th of the season, and eight of those final wins were against Salas.
Longoria and Salas teamed up to play doubles in Kansas, and they won the title by defeating Alexandra Herrera and Monserrat Mejia, 15-3, 14-15, 11-8, in the final.
The wins confirm Longoria as the #1 LPRT player in both singles and doubles. She has been the season ending #1 player 10 times, including the last 8 seasons, which is the more than any other player has done either overall or consecutively.
