The Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) is back in action this weekend with the Mile High Pro-Am in Denver, Colorado. It's an opportunity for Paola Longoria to extend her winning streak. She's won 21 matches in a row dating back to the WPRO Ektelon World Championships last May in New Orleans. That doesn't include Longoria's gold medal performance at the 2011 Pan Am Games in Guadalajara.
Thus, Longoria's the favorite in Denver. But her longtime rival, Rhonda Rajsich, will be there to try and end her streak, as will most of the WPRO's top 10 players. The exception is Samantha Salas, who's still recovering from her arm injury.
The WPRO has released the draw for Denver, and it includes Canadian Christine Richardson, who recently qualified for Team Canada's entry at the upcoming Pan American Championships in Temuco, Chile; it'll be her first appearance on Team Canada.
The WPRO has plans to live stream action on Saturday from the Mile High Pro-Am in Denver, Colorado via its UStream.tv channel.
