LPRT 2016 New Jersey Open - Preview

The Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) brings its players to New Jersey this weekend for the New Jersey Open in Warren, New Jersey. Paola Longoria, the LPRT's #1 player, is the favourite again, but LPRT #2 Maria Jose Vargas is in the draw as well, as are #3 Rhonda Rajsich and #4 Frédérique Lambert. Vargas has missed the most recent LPRT events, so it's good to see her back competing.

The LPRT doubles division has some interesting pairings, including Longoria and Lambert as the top seeds. Longoria usually plays doubles with Samantha Salas, and Lambert with Michelle Key, but neither Salas or Key will be in New Jersey this weekend.

Also, on the bottom of the draw Vargas is playing with two time World Champion Aimee Ruiz. They are seeded 7th, and will likely play 2nd seeds Rajsich and Sheryl Lotts in the quarterfinals, which should be quite the match.

The action begins Friday morning, and some of the matches can be viewed live via the LPRT LiveStream channel from 2 PM Friday.
