Syosset Open Wind Up - De La Rosa & Salas win Mixed

Daniel De La Rosa and Samantha Salas, the 2nd seeds, defeated 8th seeds Alvaro Beltran and Monserrat Mejia, 15-12, 15-5, to win Pro Mixed Doubles at the 2019 Syosset Open in Syosset, New York on Sunday. It was a unique feature to a rare tournament that featured both the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) and International Racquetball Tour (IRT).

Adriana Riveros won Women’s Open at the Syosset Open by defeating Hollie Scott in the final, 10-15, 15-10, 11-3. Gerardo Franco won Men’s Open, and also in a tie-breaker, as he went the distance with Eduardo Garay, 15-14, 14-15, 11-1.

In the Men’s Open semi-finals, Franco defeated Andres Acuña, 15-2, 11-15, 11-2, and Garay beat Nick Montalbano, 15-10, 15-2.

Oscar Nieto and Eduardo Portillo won Men’s Open, as they defeated Acuña and Felipe Camacho, 10-15, 15-6, 11-2. In the semis, Nieto and Portillo beat Javier Mar and Alan Natera, 15-12, 4-15, 11-2, and Acuña and Camacho beat Maurice Miller and Troy Warigon, 15-10, 11-15, 11-7.
