Doubles draws for 2019 UnitedHealthcare US Open

The 24th UnitedHealthcare US Open Racquetball Championships begins today in Minneapolis, and we have the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) and Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) doubles draws for you below. The top four teams on both the IRT and LPRT draws are seeded into the quarterfinals, which will be played Thursday night. On Wednesday the other teams will compete for the other four spots in the quarters.

There are 23 teams in the IRT draw vying for those four spots, which makes for a brutal schedule over the next 24 hours, especially considering some singles matches are also being played in that period. There are only 9 LPRT teams going for the four spots, so that's generally just one match to play, which is a much more manageable workload.

That said, there are several good men's teams, and picking winners can be a bit of a crap shoot, as it'll be a question of who gets hot in their matches.

Jake Bredenbeck and Jose Diaz are the top seeds in qualifying, but they will face a strong test from Kadim Carrasco and Carlos Keller, although that's only if Bredenbeck and Diaz beat one of the young Latin American teams in either Eduardo Garay and Alan Natera or Sebastian Fernandez and Diego Garcia.

Veterans Rocky Carson and Cliff Swain could play the young team of Andres Parrilla and Eduardo Portillo, although the vets will need to win a match to make that happen. Another tasty potential match up will be Javier Mar and Rodrigo Montoya - the 2019 Pan American Games gold medalists - versus Roland Keller and Conrrado Moscoso.

On the women's side, the match of the day could be Cristina Amaya and Adriana Riveros - the 2nd seeds in qualifying - versus Gabriela Martinez and Maria Renee Rodriguez, the 2019 Pan American Games Women's Doubles silver medalists.
