IRT World Singles & Doubles Open Racquetball Championships

The International Racquetball Tour (IRT) is in action this weekend at the 2021 World Singles and Doubles Open Championships in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, just outside Denver. It’s an unusual event because they are playing Mixed Doubles with the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT, but also the IRT’s #1 player - Kane Waselenchuk - isn’t in Colorado.

Thus, Alejandro Landa is the top seed in a draw of 54 players with Rocky Carson as the #2 seed. Samuel Murray is the 3rd seed with Daniel De La Rosa 4th. Murray won the last IRT event in January in Georgia, where he beat Conrrado Moscoso in the final. Moscoso is seeded 7th this weekend.

The IRT matches began today with the qualifying rounds. The Round of 32 begins Friday at 9:15 AM with the Round of 16 from 4:30 PM Friday afternoon. The quarterfinals will be Saturday morning at 10:15 and 11:15 AM. The semi-finals will be 2:15 and 3:15 PM Saturday and the final at 12:15 PM Sunday. All times are Mountain.
