2013 US Open LPRT Round of 32

The first upset in the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) competition at the 2013 United Healthcare US Open in Minneapolis was 21st seed Jessica Parrilla defeating 12th seed T. J. Baumbaugh, 7-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-3, in the Round of 32.

Parrilla will play 5th seed 5 Cristina Amaya in the Round of 16 on Friday, as Amaya beat Maria Renee Rodriguez, 11-5, 11-5, 11-1, in the 32s.

There were six upsets in all, two of which involved 12-10 tie-breaker games. Aubrey Kirch, the 24th seed, defeated 10th seed Jennifer Saunders, 5-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-8, 12-10, and will play 7th seed Adrienne Haynes in the 16s after Haynes beat Carolina Luque, 11-6, 11-8, 11-8 in the 32s.

Also, 23rd seed Janel Tisinger beat 11th seed Krystal Csuk, 11-8, 8-11, 6-11, 11-6, 12-10. Tisinger will face 6th seed Maria Jose Vargas in Friday's 16s, as Vargas defeated Mariana Tobon Gordon, 11-5, 11-3, 11-4.

Other upset winners were 24th seed Diana Aguilar over 9th seed Da'monique Davis, 11-9, 11-1, 9-11, 11-9, 18th seed Carla Munoz defeating 15th seed Linda Scales, 12-10, 11-2, 0-11, 7-11, 11-6, and Frederique Lambert who won the 16-17 game against Hailey Miller, 11-7, 11-7, 11-5.

The top four LPRT players won in three straight games: Paola Longoria, the #1 LPRT player, LPRT #2 Rhonda Rajsich, #3 Susana Acosta and #4 Samantha Salas Solis.

The LPRT Round of 16 will go Friday morning with the quarter finals Friday evening.
