Rocky Carson remains the #1 player on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) ahead of Kane Waselenchuk, who's #2, despite Waselenchuk winning five tournaments this season to Carson's four.
Waselenchuk missed three tournaments this season due to vestibular problems originating in his inner ear. He was also in the Garden City event, but had to forfeit in the quarterfinals, as he clearly wasn't fully recovered from the inner ear problem.
Alvaro Beltran continues to be a solid 3rd in the rankings. But the difference between 4th and 6th has gotten narrower: less than 60 points separate Daniel De La Rosa in 4th and Jose Rojas in 6th, with Ben Croft between them in 5th.
Fewer than 100 points separates 7th to 9th. Marco Rojas - Jose's younger brother - is 7th, Jansen Allen is 8th, and Charlie Pratt is 9th. Tony Carson rounds out the top 10.
Waselenchuk's next chance to regain the #1 ranking will be the Florida Pro-Am, February 26-March 1 in Tampa, Florida.

I'm curious to see how this will play out: Waselenchuk has missed three tournaments now and i'm pretty sure you can only drop two unless there's a bunch more tier 1 events scheduled...
Seems to me that Rocky's in a position to take the year end title just by virtue of playing all the events.
