WRT 2017 Mt Rainier Open - Preview

The World Racquetball Tour (WRT) is back in action this weekend with the Mount Rainier Open in Seattle, where 40 players are in the draw which might be a WRT record. However, WRT #1 Alejandro Cardona is not one of the 40, so David Horn is the top seed with Andree Parrilla 2nd seed, Rodrigo Montoya 3rd seed, and Polo Gutierrez is the 4th seed. However, if you put those four players in order of their WRT tour wins, Gutierrez would be tops, as he’s won 10 WRT tournaments. Montoya and Parrilla have won twice, and Horn only once.

They are also playing doubles in Seattle, although of those top four singles seeds only two are in doubles, as Montoya and Parrilla have teamed up and are the top seeds in a draw of 19 teams.

You can watch matches live from Seattle via the WRT website beginning with the quarterfinals on Saturday morning at 10 AM Pacific time. The semi-finals are scheduled to start at 5 and 6 PM Saturday with the final on Sunday at noon.
