Longoria in two finals at 2020 LPRT Sweet Caroline Pro-Am

Paola Longoria, the #1 player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT), has reached both the singles and doubles finals at the 2020 Sweet Caroline Pro-Am in Greenville, South Carolina. Longoria will play LPRT #2 Maria Jose Vargas in the singles final, and 3rd seeds Alexandra Herrera and Montserrat Mejia in the doubles final with her partner Samantha Salas.

Longoria beat both Herrera and Montserrat on Saturday in singles. She defeated Herrera in the semi-finals, 15-3, 15-7, last night, and earlier beat Montserrat in the quarterfinals, 15-3, 15-8.

For her part, Vargas reached the final with a win over veteran 6th seed Rhonda Rajsich, 15-5, 11-15, 11-1, in the semi-finals. Rajsich had upset Salas, the 3rd seed, in the quarterfinals, 15-10, 6-15, 11-10. In the quarters, Vargas beat 23rd seed Valeria Centellas, 15-13, 15-8.

In the doubles semi-finals, Longoria and Salas defeated Centellas and Angelica Barrios, 15-8, 15-4, while Herrera and Mejia got the better of Vargas and Natalia Mendez, 15-9, 15-9
