Tuesday is the last day of pool play at the XXIV Pan American Championships in Managua, Nicaragua, so there could be some good matches as the highest seeded players in the pools will be playing off. While play has continued to be mostly as expected, a group that running contrary to that rule is in men's doubles.
Bolivians Fernando Paccieri and Carlos Keller were the highest seed in Group D in men's doubles, but they have lost two of their three matches and have finished third in the group. They lost to Cesar Castro and Jorge Hirsekorn of Venezuela, 15-10, 15-8, and also to Columbians Alejandro and Juan Herrera, 15-10, 15-7.
Also of note in men's doubles, in Group A the lowest seeded team overall Roberto Cantos and Ricardo Delgado of Panama defeated the 9th overall seed Satiago Canedo and Fracisco Troncoso of Chile, 15-4, 2-15, 11-10.
The draws from Nicaragua are available on line, and some of the matches can be seen via the Pan American Racquetball Confederation website.
