Mexico and Argentina will face off in the women's doubles final at the XXVII Pan American Racquetball Championships in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, after they won their respective semi-finals.
Mexicans Susana Acosta and Samantha Salas Solis - the #1 seeds - beat Canadians Frédérique Lambert and Josée Grand'Maître in two straight games, 15-13, 15-12, in one semi-final, and Maria Jose Vargas and Véronique Guillemette of Argentina defeated Veronica Sotomayor and Maria Paz Muñoz of Ecuador, 6-15, 15-11, 11-9, in the other semi.
Both Acosta and Vargas are also in the women's singles final, so each has a a chance to win gold in singles and doubles at the Pan Am Championship in the same year. Only Paola Longoria (Mexico) has done that; she won both in 2012.
The final will be 1 PM EDT Saturday and will be live via the IRF Network.
