2016 IRT Tournament of Champions - Round of 16 & Quarterfinals Rounds

Kane Waselenchuk, the #1 player on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) has clearly recovered from the hernia surgery he had in March, as he won twice on Friday to advance to the semi-finals at the ProKennex Tournament of Champions in Portland, Oregon. Waselenchuk defeated Fernando Rios, 11-2, 11-2, 11-1, in the Round of 16, and then beat Mario Mercado, 11-4, 11-6, 11-1, in the quarterfinals.

In the quarters, Waselenchuk will face the winner of #5 Jose Rojas and Andree Parrilla, who upset IRT #3 Alvaro Beltran in the Round of 16, 11-8, 4-11, 11-2, 11-4, which was the biggest upset on Friday.

Charlie Pratt was also an upset winner Friday, as he beat 7th seed Felipe Camacho, 11-4, 11-9, 11-4. But Pratt then fell in the quarterfinals to IRT #2 Rocky Carson, 11-7, 11-0, 11-5. In the semi-finals, Carson will face IRT #3 Daniel De La Rosa, who defeated Jansen Allen in the quarters, 11-1, 11-3, 11-4.

The semi-finals will be streamed live Saturday at 11 AM and noon via the IRT Network with the final Saturday night at 7:00 PM. All times Pacific.
