Williams takes Carl Myers title; Connell wins in Leamington

Mitch Williams won the Carl Myers Racquetball Tournament in Garden City, Kansas, a Tier 2 event on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT). Williams defeated Jack Huczek in the final, 11-2, 11-7, 11-5. It's a good win for Williams, who's ranked 6th on the IRT.

In the semi-finals, Huczek - the IRT's #2 player - defeated Ben Croft, 11-8, 11-2, 2-11, 11-6, while, Williams beat Shane Vanderson, 11-9, 11-9, 13-11.

Leamington Racquetball Classic

Also last weekend, Lee Connell defeated Eric Desrochers, 8-11, 11-1, 8-11, 11-3, 11-5, to win the Leamington Racquetball Classic in Leamington, Ontario. With the win Connell gains a measure of revenge over Desrochers, as Desrochers beat Connell in the Keystone Classic last month in Winnipeg.

The IRT's Florida Spring Break event goes this coming weekend in Sarasota. It's a Tier 1 event, and can be viewed over the internet at IRTNetwork.com.
