Rhonda Rajsich won the New Jersey Open - a satellite event of the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) tour - in Woodbridge, New Jersey on the weekend. She defeated Aimee Ruiz in the final, 11-5, 11-9, 11-7.
In the semi-finals, Rajsich beat Anita Maldonado, 12-10, 11-3, 11-7, while Ruiz had to come back from two games down to defeat Cristina Amaya in five games, 2-11, 6-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-7.
Rajsich's win comes ahead of this weekend's Tier 1 WPRO event: the Christmas Classic in Arlington, Virginia, which will feature of a full slate of the top players, including WPRO #1 Paola Longoria.
