15th Annual Ghost of Georgetown - Qualifying

The International Racquetball Tour (IRT) is in action for a second straight week with the 15th Annual Ghost of Georgetown tournament in Overland Park, Kansas. There's a smaller draw than last week's season opening Krowning Moment Bobcat Open in San Marcos, Texas, so there's only one round of qualifying.

Likely the best qualifying match will be a battle of two young guns: Canadian Coby Iwaasa versus Mexican Jaime Martell. The winner will play Alvaro Beltran in the Round of 16, and Beltran will be looking to get his first win of the season, as he was upset last week in the 16s by Alejandro Landa.

Landa made it all the way to the semi-finals in San Marcos, but he is not in the draw this week.

However, Kane Waselenchuk, the IRT #1 and the winner last week in San Marcos, and the rest of the top eight players are, as well as Jansen Allen, Marco Rojas and Charlie Pratt.

An interesting quarterfinal match up could be IRT #2 Rocky Carson versus #5 Daniel De La Rosa. The IRT will rotate the 5 to 8 seeds in the draw in some Tier 1 events, which is why these players are on course to meet each other in Kansas.

All the action can be viewed live via the IRT Network from 10 AM CDT Friday with the first Round of 16 matches.
