The quarter finals are over in Terre Haute, Indiana at the Lawler Sports Pro Am - the second event of the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) season, and four of the top five players are through to the semis.
Top seed Kane Waselenchuk looked to have another slow start but then defeated Juan Herrera in three straight games, 11-9, 11-1, 11-2, and second seed Rocky Carson beat Chris Crowther, 11-7, 9-11, 11-6, 11-1. So Crowther had a better showing against Carson than in their match last week in Denver, but the result was the same.
In the semis, Carson will again face third seed Jack Huczek, as he defeated Mitch Williams after Williams defaulted due to injury following the first game of their match, which Huczek won 11-7.
In another rematch of last week, fifth seed Jason Mannino this time got the better of fourth seed Shane Vanderson, gaining a measure of revenge for last week's loss with a 11-4, 11-9, 10-12, 11-8 victory. Mannino will play Waselenchuk Saturday.
The semi finals are scheduled for 4 PM and 5 PM Eastern time Saturday and can be viewed via the IRT Network.com.
