WPRO - Texas Open 16s - CORRECTION

Paola Longoria survived the Round of 16 at the Ektelon WPRO Texas Open in Dallas. It's the first event of the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) season. Longoria won her match against Christie Van Hees, 5-11, 11-7, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9, although Van Hees had more total points 47 to 46.

Longoria will play Jackie Paraiso, another former #1, in the quarter finals on Saturday as Paraiso won a close match against Jo Shattuck. It took five games for the outcome to be decided with Paraiso coming out on top, 1-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-13, 11-5. Also in the 16s was Samantha Salas's victory over Adrienne Fisher in four games, 11-1, 11-8, 10-12, 11-3.

The quarter finals and semi finals will be played on Saturday and the final on Sunday.
