Kane Waselenchuk remains unbeaten on court for over two years as he won the final of the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Lawler Sports Pro-Am in Terre Haute, Indiana on Sunday by defeating second seed Rocky Carson over five tough games, 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 9-11, 11-6. In three previous matches with Waselenchuk this season, Carson averaged five points a game. He was better than that in each of the five games on Sunday.
It was the first time Waselenchuk was forced to play five games in a match since March 14, 2009 when Waselenchuk defeated Jack Huczek in the semi-finals of the Florida Spring Break event after losing the first two games. It was the first time he'd gone five with Carson since the final of the Motorola Racquetball World Championships in September 2008.
The IRT's next Tier 1 event is the San Diego Open, February 23-27.
