Andres Acuna won the Men's Open division at the Kansas City Pro-Am / Ghost of Georgetown tournament in Overland Park, Kansas on the weekend, when he defeated Alejandro Herrera, 15-10, 15-11. However, Herrera did win the Men's Open Doubles title with Sebastian Franco, as they beat Matt Majxner and Peter Wrigley in the final, 15-10, 15-11.
There were two International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Tier 4 events on the weekend: the Maryland Open in Laurel, Maryland and the Bobcat Open in San Marcos, Texas.
Mauricio Zelada won the Maryland event by defeating former IRT top 10 player Dan Fowler, 11-3, 11-4, 11-9, in the final, while over in Texas Patric Mascorro came out on top in the final of the Bobcat Open by defeating Richard Eisemann, 6-11, 11-4, 11-2, 11-5.
