Alejandro Cardona is a double finalist at the the World Racquetball Tour (WRT) Grace Warrior Atlanta Open, as he won his semi-final matches in both singles and doubles Saturday. But again Cardona was pushed to a third game, which he won by the narrowest of margins, defeating Andree Parrilla, 15-10, 11-15, 11-10, in the semi-finals.
Cardona, the top seed in both singles and doubles in Atlanta, will face 2nd seed Jake Bredenbeck in the final Sunday, and Bredenbeck also needed a tie-breaker to get to the final, as she beat David Horn, 15-13, 8-15, 11-8.
In doubles, Cardona and Christian Longoria, seeded #1, beat 4th seeds Jaime Martell and Jose Daniel Ugalde, 15-5, 15-12, in one semi-final, while 3rd seeds Gerardo Franco and Anthony Herrera were upset winners over 2nd seeds Sebastian Franco and Mario Mercado, 15-7, 15-11.
