The 2016 World Racquetball Tour (WRT) season kicks off in Seattle, where the Washington Athletic Club will play host to the Mt Rainier Open. WRT #1 Alejandro Cardona is the top seed with Jake Bredenbeck 2nd seed, David Horn 3rd seed, and Andree Parrilla 4th seed.
Other players of interest are Anthony Herrera, seeded 5th, Sebastian Franco seeded 6th, and 7th seed Christian Longoria, as well as Danny Lavely, 11th seed, and veteran Hiroshi Shimizu, who’s the 20 seed, and could play Parrilla in the Round of 16.
Lavely and Shimizu are doubles partners and will face the young Mexican team of Longoria and Jordy Alonso in the first round.
Live streaming will begin in the quarterfinals on Saturday morning at 10 AM Pacific time. The semi-finals are scheduled to start at 5 and 6 PM Saturday with the final on Sunday at noon. Play can be viewed via the WRT website.
