Jessica Parrilla won Women’s Open at the 2024 Boston Open on the weekend in Marlborough, Massachusetts. She defeated Carla Muñoz, 11-6, 11-7, in the final. In the semi-finals, Parrilla beat Juliette Parent, 11-2, 11-1, and Muñoz defeated Stephanie Synhorst, 11-1, 11-4.
Over at the 2024 McNamara Minnesota Racquetball Hall of Fame in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Alan Natera won Men’s Open by defeating Jhonatan Flores, 15-14, 5-15, 11-9, in the final. In the semi-finals, Natera defeated Edwin Galicia, 15-7, 15-1, and Flores beat Jordan Barth, 15-7, 15-4.
Upcoming events
Looking ahead, the big event this month will be the 2024 Pan American Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala beginning March 23 and concluding March 30. But prior to that the International Racquetball Tour will be in action at the 39th Annual Papa Nicholas Shamrock Shootout in Lombard, Illinois, March 14-17.
