USA Racquetball Intercollegiates Review of Champions

The 2014 USA Racquetball Intercollegiate wrapped up on Saturday at North Carolina State University and new names were added to list of champions, and we've got the recent champions listed below. (note: the list is for the #1 men's and women's positions; players compete on teams of six with the #1 players playing off, #2s likewise, etc. Similarly there are three doubles teams from the six team players).

Jose Diaz of Delta College won men's singles, so Nick Montalbano of Colorado State, Pueblo finished 2nd for a third time, closing out his collegiate career with one title, which was in doubles with Jansen Allen in 2012 (the only year that he did not finish second in men's singles).

Felipe Camacho of Colorado State, Pueblo bookends his collegiate years with Men's doubles titles as he won this year with Brad Schopieray and in 2011 with Allen.

Devon Pimentelli (Canada College) won the women's singles title to go with the women's doubles title she won last year with Danielle Key playing for Arizona State. Amanda Lindsay and Karissa Beatty of Oregon State had to settle for 2nd for a second consecutive year in doubles as the title this year went to Elizabeth Simmons and Lindsay Rasmussen of Arizona, who were 3rd in 2013.
