IRT - Florida Spring Break Preliminary Round Results

Two surprises from the qualifying rounds of the International Racquetball Tour's (IRT's) Florida Spring Break tournament in Tampa, Florida. Mike Harmon defeated veteran Andy Hawthorne, 11-2, 12-10, 6-11, 13-11, on Thursday to advance to Friday's Round of 16, when he'll play Chris Crowther.

Also, Aaron Metcalf won two matches to reach the 16s. He defeated Arthur Schmeiser, 4-11, 1-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-4, and David Stincer, 11-5, 11-3, 11-9. Metcalf will face IRT #2 Rocky Carson on Friday.

The IRT Network will be web-casting the Round of 16 and the quarter final matches from Tampa beginning Friday March 8 at 10 AM EST.
