Kane Waselenchuk won the 2013 Party with the Pros tournament in St Louis, Missouri, in what was a return to form for the International Racquetball Tour's (IRT's) #1 player. Somewhat ironically Wasselenchuk's victory over Alvaro Beltran was by injury default, as Beltran was unable to continue towards the end of game two, with Waselechuk leading 9-6. Waselenchuk won the first game 11-0.
Beltran's back seemed to be the cause of his pain, and reason for defaulting.
The irony comes from the fact Waselenchuk had to default the final of the previous IRT event as he reinjured his right knee against Rocky Carson. But that wasn't an issue for Waselenchuk in St Louis, as he won his sixth tournament of the season. He also beat Beltan in the final of the Davison, Michigan event back in November.
In two weeks, the IRT will be in Portland, Oregon for the Ektelon Tournament of Champions April 25-28.
