The Ladies Pro Racquetball Tour (LPRT) is back in action, and they are in Rededa, California, where they are having a tournament in conjunction with the California Regionals event. Twenty one players are in the draw with twenty of them hoping to end LPRT #1 Paola Longoria's winning streak, which dates back to May 2011 and stands at 15 straight tournaments.
Other players of interest in the draw are former #1 Jackie Paraiso, who's reached at least the quarter finals in the two events she's played this season. But her first opponent will be Canadian Frédérique Lambert, the 2011 U18 Junior World Champion.
Also in the draw are Maria Jose Vargas, who won the 2012 U18 Junior World Championship and has reached the quarter finals at two LPRT events this season, and Janel Tisinger, who got to the 16s at last year's US Open.
Thus, there should be plenty of good matches in Reseda this weekend. You can watch some of them on-line via the LPRT network beginning with the quarter finals on Saturday morning at 10 AM PDT.
