Two lower tier International Racquetball Tour (IRT) events happened on the weekend. Brad Hansen won the 2016 Marigold Resources Quad City Open - a Tier 4 IRT event in Eldridge, Iowa. Hansen was seeded 5th in the event, and defeated 2nd seed Bradly Rogers in the final, 11-3, 11-2, 12-10.
In the semi-finals, Brad Hansen defeated Blake Hansen, 11-7, 7-11, 11-3, 11-9, while Rogers beat Brad McCunniff, 11-7, 11-2, 8-11, 11-6.
Out in Reseda, Califorinia, the 2016 Tournament of Terror - a Tier 5 IRT event - was won by Nicolai Miramontes, as he defeated Dane Elkins, 11-5, 11-5, 7-11, 11-1, in the final. In the semi-finals, Dane Elkins beat Brett Elkins, 11-4, 11-1, 11-1, and Miramontes defeated Majeed Shahin, 12-14, 11-1, 11-3, 11-5.
The Galaxy Custom Printing IRT Pro-Am is the next Tier 1 IRT event, and that happens next weekend November 3-6 in Lilburn, Georgia.
