Adriana Riveros won Women’s Open at the Boston Open on the weekend. She got a walkover win against Kelani Bailey in the final. But in the semi-finals, Riveros defeated veteran left-hander Susana Acosta in two straight games, 15-2, 15-11, while Bailey won a tie-breaker against Carla Muñoz, 15-7, 14-15, 11-5.
Also notable from Boston is that Sebastian Franco won the Men’s Open division, beating Jose Flores in the final, 15-4, 15-7.
In Lombard, Illinois, Marco Rojas won the 2016 Fall Brawl - an International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Tier 3 event - by defeating Jansen Allen in the final. In the semi-finals, Rojas beat Juan Herrera, and Allen defeated Thomas Carter, 11-1, 11-9, 11-3.
This weekend will be a busy one, as all three pro tours have events. The IRT will be in Lilburn, Georgia for the Galaxy Custom Printing Pro-Am, the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) will be in Monterrey, Mexico for the Paola Longoria Invitational, and the World Racquetball Tour (WRT) will also be in action in with the Rocky Mountain Open in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Yes, this weekend will be busy, busy, busy!
