Paola Longoria won both of the finals she played in at the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) New Jersey Open in Warren, New Jersey on Sunday, confirming her place at the top of the LPRT rankings. In the singles final, Longoria defeated 6th seed Cristina Amaya, 11-4, 11-2, 11-4, and then she teamed up with Gabriella Martinez to win the doubles title by beating Rhonda Rajsich and Sheryl Lotts, 15-11, 15-3.
While the wins were expected from the LPRT #1, as Longoria hasn’t lost this season, the doubles win was Martinez’s first title on tour.
The next LPRT Tier event the Battle at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, April 21-23, but there is an outdoor satellite - the WOR - AZ WOR VII - in Glendale, Arizona, March 31-April 2. If you missed any of the action from New Jersey, you can see it via the LPRT Network LiveSteam channel.
