David Horn defeated Jake Bredenbeck, 13-15, 15-5, 11-6, to win the World Racquetball Tour (WRT) 2017 Rocky Mountain Open in Taylorsville, Utah Saturday. Horn’s victory is his fourth WRT title. In the semi-finals, Horn beat Sebastian Franco, 15-7, 15-12, and Bredenbeck, seeded 3rd, upset the 2nd seed Alejandro Cardona, 15-7, 15-14.
However, Franco helped Sudsy Monchik make a successful WRT debut, as the pair won the doubles title in Utah by defeating Cardona and Gerardo Franco, 15-3, 14-15, 11-8.
The next two WRT events are both in Texas. The Alamo City Open will be December 1-3 in San Antonio and the Longhorn Open is December 12-14 in Austin.
