Fernandez wins Men's Open at 2018 LA Open

Sebastian Fernandez won the Men’s Open division at the 2018 Los Angeles Open in Canoga Park, California Sunday, and he beat three top 20 players on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) to get the title. In the final, Fernandez defeated IRT #12 Felipe Camacho, 15-11, 15-10.

In the semi-finals, Fernandez beat Robert Collins, IRT #17, 15-7, 15-9, and in the quarterfinals, he got the best of IRT #10 Sebastian Franco, 15-5, 13-15, 11-6. Fernandez is the current International Racquetball Federation (IRF) World Junior Champion in Boy’s U16.

This weekend’s main event is the World Racquetball Tour (WRT) Longhorn Open in Austin, Texas. Then next weekend the IRT is back in action with the 40th Annual Lewis Drug Pro/Am in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, January 18-21, 2018. January concludes with a Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) Grand Slam event. The Sweet Caroline Open will be January 26-28 in Greenville, South Carolina.
