Frédérique Lambert and Maria Vargas will faceoff in the final of the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) Peachtree Open in Lilburn, Georgia, and it took two upsets to make it happen. In one semi-final, Lambert defeated 2nd seed Rhonda Rajsich, 7-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-6, while in the other Vargas beat 4th seed Alexandra Herrera, 11-8, 11-3, 11-3.
Those wins set up their first meeting in three years, as Lambert and Vargas last met in the final of the 2015 New Jersey Open, which Vargas won. They have only met three times on tour with Vargas winning two of the three. All three matches have gone more than three games with the first two meetings going five games.
