Doubles results from Day 2 at the 2021 IRF World Championships

There were no real surprises Tuesday in the doubles competitions at the 20th International Racquetball Federation (IRF) World Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The only match to go to a tie-breaker was in Men's Doubles Group A, where Costa Ricans Gabriel Garro and Felipe Segreda defeated Edwin Galicia and Christen Wer of Guatemala, 12-15, 15-12, 11-3, in what was another match to have a blowout breaker after two close games.

Also in Men's Doubles, Argentina’s Diego Garcia and Shai Manzuri - who we picked as our dark horse team - won their Group B by defeating Lee Gunhee and Kim Mingyu, 15-5, 15-6, on Tuesday. Thus, they will be the 2nd seed for the medal round that begins on Thursday.

In Women’s Doubles, Argentina’s Valeria Centellas and Natalia Mendez beat Canadians Frédérique Lambert and Alexis Iwaasa, 15-6, 15-3, and will have a chance to win the group when they play Americans Rajsich and Erika Manilla on Wednesday.

It seems that live streaming of matches won’t happen until the medal round. But check with the IRF website or their social media outlets (IRF on Facebook and @IRFRacquetball on Twitter) for updates.
