IRT 36th Annual Lewis Pro Am - Round of 32 & 16

No upsets so far at the 36th Annual Lewis Pro-Am - a Tier 1 International Racquetball Tour (IRT) event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but there have been some great matches, as three of the Round of 16 matches went tie-breaker.

Sixth seed Tony Carson, coming back from injury, won the first two games against Charlie Pratt, but then found himself in a tie-breaker, as Pratt won games three and four. Carson scored the first two points of the breaker, before Pratt responded with three straight making the score 3-2.

But after that it was all Carson, as he only allowed Pratt one more point, winning the match 11-8, 12-10, 7-11, 6-11, 11-4. Pratt used a variety of drive serves in the match as did Carson, but Carson also hit several lobs serves to the right side - Pratt's forehand.

Also needing five games to advance were 7th seed Marco Rojas who beat Alejandro Landa, 11-6, 7-11, 5-11, 11-4, 11-5, and 8th seed Jansen Allen who defeated veteran Andy Hawthorne, 11-3, 8-11, 13-15, 11-7, 11-5.

The IRT Network will carry the quarter-finals beginning Saturday at 10 AM CST. The semi-finals will be Saturday afternoon with the final Sunday morning at 10:30 AM CST.
