Rocky Carson won the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Red Swain Shootout in Davison, Michigan Saturday on a day of expected results after the craziness of Friday's outcomes. Carson defeated Jose Rojas, 11-2, 11-2, 11-8.
It's Carson's first win of the season, and continues his streak of winning at least one IRT Tier 1 event a season. He's done so in six straight seasons now.
Despite the loss, it was progress for Rojas also, as he reached the final for the first time in almost two years. His last final was the 2013 New Jersey Open, when he lost to Kane Waselenchuk.
The IRT marathon of five events in five consecutive weekends continues next weekend in Garden City, Kansas with the 25th Annual Turkey Shootout November 12-15.
