The World Racquetball Tour (WRT) has shifted slightly to the south this weekend, as the San Diego Open happens at the World Gym in Chula Vista, California after last weekend’s Modesto Open in Modesto, California. Most of the top players are in action this weekend, although Andree Parrilla, who was a semi-finalist last weekend is missing due to his involvement in the World Junior Championships that will begin Sunday in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Last week’s winner, Alejandro Cardona is again the top seed this week, and Jake Bredenbeck, who was runner-up last week, is second seed with David Horn third seed, and Anthony Herrera fourth seed. Also of note in the draw are Danny Lavely, seeded 8th, and left-handed veteran Thomas Fuhrmann.
Live streaming will be available from Chula Vista via the WRT website. That will likely start on Saturday with the quarterfinals at 10 AM PST.
