2013 USAR Ektelon Nationals - US Team Qualifying Quarter finals

No upsets in the quarter finals of the US Team Qualifying women's division draw at the USA Racquetball (USAR) Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, California. Defending champion Rhonda Rajsich defeated Michelle Key, 15-12, 15-11, to advance to the semis, where she'll play Jacqueline Paraiso, who was a winner against Grace Hughes, 15-5, 15-13.

On the other side of the draw, last year's runner up Cheryl Gudinas defeated Elise Wilson in the quarter-finals and will play Janel Tisinger in the semis, as Tisinger beat Da'monique Davis, 15-10, 15-6, in the quarters.

Men's Division

It's East Coast versus West Coast in the semi-finals of the Men's Division of US Team Qualifying at the USA Racquetball (USAR) Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, California. Representing the West Coast are two Stockton, California players, Marco Rojas and David Horn, who are also the #1 and #2 seeds, respectively.

The East Coast players are 3rd seed Mauricio Zelada from Columbia, Maryland and 4th seed Mike Harmon from Sarasota, Florida. Rojas will take on Harmon and Horn faces off against Zelada in Saturday's semi-finals.

In the quarter finals, Rojas needed a tie-breaker to defeat Arthur Schmeiser, 13-15, 15-7, 11-6, while Horn won comfortably against Andrew Gale, 15-5, 15-0.

Zelada and Harmon also both won in straight games, as Zelada took out Mike O'Brien, 15-13, 15-7, and Harmon beat Jason Sylvester, 15-6, 15-5.
