Waselenchuk finishes 2012-13 IRT season emphatically

Kane Waselenchuk ended the 2012-13 International Racquetball Tour (IRT) season the way it began as he won the USA Racquetball Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, California, although there were some bumps in-between the two victories, as Waselenchuk had to endure injuries that made him drop out of one event and miss two others.

However, Waselenchuk finished off the season in style, as he defeated Rocky Carson in three straight games, 11-1, 11-2, 11-3, to win his ninth event of the season.

Carson was the only other player to win any Tier 1 IRT events this season. He won three.

The victory is Waselenchuk's 70th on tour tying him with Cliff Swain for most ever. Marty Hogan is third with 60.

The IRT now goes on summer hiatus with the 2013-14 to start in the fall.
