IRT Rankings - May 13, 2013 - Waselenchuk's clinched #1, De La Rosa 10th

UPDATED - Kane Waselenchuk is #1 in the latest International Racquetball Tour (IRT) rankings, and Jason Mannino, IRT President, has told TRB that Waselenchuk has clinched the season ending #1 ranking, although there is one event left in the 2012-13 season, which is the Ektelon Nationals beginning Thursday in Fullerton, California.

Waselenchuk is 610 points ahead of Rocky Carson, who's #2 overall. This season Waselenchuk has eight tournament victories and Carson three. The last season only two players won IRT events was 2009-10, when Waselenchuk also won eight times and Mannino got what would be his last tournament victory on tour.

Positions 1-9 are all the same as in the last rankings, but Daniel De La Rosa has appeared in the top 10 for the first time in his young career at the 10th position. De La Rosa's played five events this season, and reached the semi-finals in the last of them at the Stockton Pro-Am. He was also a quarter-finalist at last year's US Open.

Marco Rojas has also moved up, and is now 13th. Charlie Pratt is also back in the top 20 after missing several tournaments in the middle of season due to injury. Pratt is 18th now.

The 2012-13 IRT season concludes with the Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, California. You can watch the action live via the IRT Network beginning Thursday.
