Garcia wins twice Thursday at 43rd Annual Lewis Drug IRT Pro-Am

Diego Garcia had the only upset in the Round of 32 at the 43rd Annual Lewis Drug International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Pro-Am Friday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as the 17th seed defeated 16th seed Sam Bredenbeck, 15-2, 15-12. Garcia will play IRT #1 Conrrado Moscoso in the Round of 16 on Friday. The other matches in the 32s were all won by the higher seed in two straight games.

But there was an 11-10 tie-breaker in doubles, as Garcia and Gerson Miranda Martinez eked out a win over Lee Connell and Kurtis Cullen, 14-15, 15-9, 11-10. They’ll play Daniel De La Rosa and Javier Mar in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon.

The quarterfinals will be Friday night starting at 5 PM with the semi-finals Saturday afternoon at 4 and 5 PM. The final is Sunday at 11 AM. The doubles quarters are at 2 PM Friday with the semi-finals at 11 AM and noon Saturday, and the final on Sunday after the singles final. All times Central.
