There'll be some time off for the men's and women's racquetball professionals, as their next tournaments aren't until the end of April. The last tournament of the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) season will be the Ektelon WPRO World Championships, April 24-26 in Stockton, California.
On that same weekend, the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) will be playing at the Dennis Rosenberg Pro Am in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Then the men's season will end with a Grand Slam event: the Motorola IRT Pro Nationals in Chicago, May 5-9.
But this period of inactivity doesn't mean The Racquetball Blog will be inactive. No sir-ee! So be sure to check back regularly - daily? hourly? minute-by-minute? (hey, wouldn't that make a great album title?). We'll give you nuggets of racquetball information, such as the following.
Women's Open
A final note from the Terrapin Shootout: Krystal Csuk won Women's Open by defeating Susy Acosta, 15-6, 12-15, 11-5, in the final. Csuk had an upset victory over Adrienne Fisher in the semis, winning 15-6, 8-15, 11-1, while Acosta beat Jenny Daza, 15-10, 15-12.
Follow the bouncing ball....
