Top seed Kane Waselenchuk is through to the quarter finals in Tijuana at the Mexico Open, the last event of the 2009-10 International Racquetball Tour (IRT) season. Waselenchuk defeated Cliff Swain in a battle of lefties, 12-10, 11-2, 11-1. Waselenchuk is trying to complete an undefeated season. He'll play Andy Hawthorne in the quarters.
In other action, Ben Croft defeated Mexican lefty Javier Moreno, 11-5, 11-1, 11-2, and Rocky Carson, the 2nd seed, defeated Anthony Herrera, 11-2, 11-4, 11-3. Carson and Croft will square off in the quarters later on Friday.
The Round of 16 continues in Tijuana with the quarter finals beginning at 5 PM. Those rounds can be viewed for free over the web at IRTNetwork.com with the semi-finals and final available on Saturday and Sunday for a small fee.
