Samantha Salas, Vivian Gomez, and Jennifer Saunders defeated their higher ranked opponents to reach the quarter finals of the In Shape Sports Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) Championships in Stockton, California. Salas beat 5th seed Jo Shattuck, 11-5, 11-5, 11-6, and Gomez defeated 6th seed T. J. Baumbaugh, 9-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-6, while Saunders got the better of 7th seed Krystal Csuk, 13-11, 12-14, 11-9, 11-8.

Aubrey O'brien almost had the biggest upset of the evening, as she was up two games on 4th seed Adrienne Fisher, including an 11-0 second game. However, Fisher came back to take the next three and win the match, 4-11, 0-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-8, setting up a quarter final match with Salas on Saturday.

Also in the quarters on Saturday, Salas's opponent will be Adrienne Fisher Gomez will face 3rd seed Cheryl Gudinas who took out Aimee Ruiz, 11-7, 11-2, 2-11, 11-3, and Saunders meets the 2nd seed Rhonda Rajsich, winner over Cristina Amaya, 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 in the Round of 16.
