Paola Longoria will face Cheryl Gudinas in the final of the Miller Lite Open in York, Pennsylvania, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7, 11-3, to win her fourth tournament in a row on the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) tour. Longoria was also the gold medalist earlier this month in Honduras at the Pan Am Championships.
In short, she's on a roll, and should be considered the favorite to win the International Racquetball Federation (IRF) World Championships in August in Korea. If Longoria does so, she'll be the first Mexican woman to take that title.
Sunday was the first WPRO final this season that did not have Rhonda Rajsich and Longoria since September, when Rajsich defeated Kerri Wachtel to win the Ektelon Texas Open.
The next WPRO event comes in a fortnight with the In Shape Sport WPRO Racquetball Championships in Stockton, California April 22-25.
