2010 US Open - Men's Qualifying Results

The Racquetball Blog staff apologies to all our readers as we've been a bit slow off the hop for this year's US Open in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Much of the staff was fighting off a bit of a cold bug, but we're feeling better and have the results from the men's qualifying for you below.

We'll bring you the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) results from the Round of 32 soon. Some qualifying results of note include Tim Landeryou's upset victory over Japanese veteran Hiroshi Shimizu, 6-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-9, 11-0, in the second round of qualifying. But Landeryou wasn't able to follow up that victory against Daniel De La Rosa, who won their match in three straight games, 11-8, 11-7, 11-6.

One of the longest qualifying matches was Jansen Allen versus Danny Lavely, which went more than two and a half hours before Allen prevailed in the fifth game, winning 11-9, 8-11, 11-5, 9-11, 14-12. Allen did make it through to the main draw of 32 with a follow up win over Felipe Camacho, 11-6, 7-11, 11-7, 11-4.
