Taylor Knoth won the Auburn VW Open in Kent, Washington on the weekend, a Tier 4 event on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT). He defeated Jimmy Lowe in the final, 11-6, 11-7, 12-10.
Knoth reached the final with a 11-3, 11-2, 11-5 victory over Grant Stalley, while Lowe got there by defeating Jeff Stark, 11-5, 11-8, 10-12, 11-5.
This weekend there will be two IRT events: the Lou Bradley Memorial in Madison, Wisconsin (a Tier 3 event) and the West Michigan Open in Grand Rapids, Michigan (Tier 4).
Then next week it's the big one. That's right, folks, we're only one week away from the US Open, racquetball's most prestigious professional event. That begins October 20 in Minneapolis.
