They are down to the finals in the US Team Qualifying divisions at the USA Racquetball (USAR) Nationals in Fullerton, California. On the men's side, Jake Bredenbeck upset top seed Marco Rojas in the semi-finals, 15-14, 11-15, 11-9, while 2nd seed David Horn defeated Jansen Allen, 15-14, 15-6.
Horn is making his second straight appearance in the final, as he lost to Rojas last year.
On the women's side, there's only five (5!) players in the US Team Qualifying Division, and the top seeds will meeting the final.
Number 1 seed Rhonda Rajsich beat Lexi York in one semi-final, 15-12, 15-6, and 2nd seed Janel Tisinger defeated Cheryl Gudinas, 15-12, 15-13, in the other semi-final.
That could mean Gudinas is off the US Team. However, both Rajsich and Tisinger are already on the team (Rajsich as the top American women's pro and Tisinger as one of the US Women's doubles champions - with Aimee Ruiz), so it could be that the winner of the 3rd place match between Gudinas and York would earn a spot on the team.
