Paola Longoria, the #1 player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT), ended the 2014-15 LPRT season the way she began it: winning both singles and doubles. The season began with wins for Longoria in San Luis Potosi last August, and it's concluded with her winning in the LPRT Pro Nationals in Herndon, Virginia.
In Herndon, she defeated LPRT #3 Rhonda Rajsich, 7-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-1, to win the singles title, and with Samantha Salas she beat Michelle Key and Frédérique Lambert in doubles, 15-12, 15-11.
Last August in San Luis Potosi, Longoria and Salas also beat Key and Lambert in the final, and Longoria defeated the LPRT #3 player in the singles final, although then the #3 player was Maria Jose Vargas, who is now the #2 player.
The win was Longoria's 10th against two losses. That's two more losses than she had the previous three seasons, which she went through undefeated.
Rajsich ended Longoria's winning streak in October, and Lambert defeated her in March.
The LPRT will be on a hiatus until next season, but most of the top women will be representing their countries at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto in July.
